Meet Stephanie Dormesy

From Stephanie:

"Last year during this time I was understaffed, overworked and felt as though I outgrew my role in senior management.

Well, in my journey of progression I've learned that if you don't ask, you shall not receive! 🙏🏾 So I eventually told my boss I was outgrowing our current space because our activity was so high and I didn't have enough resources nor staffing to accommodate our demand. I was so relieved I expressed my concerns and I told myself if I don't experience any growth at my job I will leave before the end of the year.

Thankfully my boss recognized my skillset and expertise and vocalized this to leadership. By the end of the summer, they finally agreed to expand my division since my industry for providing services for Hematology-Oncology research studies has been growing significantly.

Now for the past two months, I've been adapting to my new role as the Director of Cellular Therapy Donor Management. It's a very technical title 😂 but to summarize I provide oversight, leadership, and guidance in the management of specialized healthy blood donors for the execution of clinical research by various biopharmaceutical companies and research organizations that are focused on helping patients in need suffering from various blood cancers & blood disorders (and that's a brief description 😂)

Just providing a reminder to know your worth, vocalize your concerns, and never stop learning and growing! Through my personal research & overcoming that common fear of silent acceptance even after we get the green light for a #promotion I was also able to secure a 25% increase in my salary. *cues Kirk Franklin "Stomp"*🙏🏾

So #talktomenice, the Director has entered the building! 🤸🏾‍♀️💃🏾🤸🏾‍♀️💃🏾🤸🏾‍♀️"
