Music and Vibrations

Ever want to both know how music and sound happen, and make your own, playable instrument? In this camp you get to enjoy music, learn about what makes it loud or soft, low, or high. Each day you will work a little bit on your instrument, which you will be able to take home with you at the end of the week.

Camp takes place 1pm - 4pm for 5 days from July 15-19. You're welcome to drop your child off for the camp. Before the camp starts, we will follow up with a questionnaire to collect information about the child to ensure they're comfortable. Seats are limited and registration will close when the camp is full. If demand warrants it, we'll create another session in late July. Registrations cancelled after July 1 may be 50% refundable and registrations cancelled after July 8 are nonrefundable, and by purchasing a ticket you agree to these terms (feel free to get in touch if a situation arises as we may be able to make alternative arrangements).

Science Day Camp is presented by Ann Miller, Executive Director at Science is Elemental, a science education 501C3 nonprofit. For over twenty years, Ann has been involved as tutor, mentor, and coordinator of tutoring/mentoring activities for elementary school students. Ann received her Ph.D. in chemistry from the California Institute of Technology, and her B.A. in chemistry from the University of Pennsylvania.

About Us

Because Science is a love letter to all things STEM, particularly the fusion of art and science. A lot of the products you’ll find here and in our shop are handmade in our very own design lab, while some are the brainchild of other creators. We celebrate it all because science literally makes the world go ‘round.
