Cyclochila australasiae cicadas have an enormous wingspan (up to 13 cm / 5 inches) and a deafening call, but they’re probably most famous for their unusual diversity of color morphs, each with its own common name. The “Greengrocer” and “Yellow Monday” morphs appear most frequently, while the “Masked Devil” and “Blue Moon” cicadas are less common. Color morphs result from genes rather than environmental factors. Despite their drastically differing appearances, all morphs can interbreed, as they are all the same species.
This charming pin of the classic "Greengrocer" morph features hard enamel, UV printed details, and lifelike clear wings.
Measuring 2.5 inches long, it is double posted for extra security.
