Just as the octahedron is created by placing a pair of points above and below a square and connecting them to all the squares corners, the hyperoctahedron is created by placing a pair of points above and below the octahedron in the fourth dimension and connecting them to all the octahedron corners. In these three-dimensional earrings, those two points appear inside the octahedron.
These earrings were designed in a computer using mathematical software and then brought to life using 3d printing technology.
Our nylon jewelry is created through a laser sintering process in which the model is fused together one layer at a time from white nylon powder. The jewelry is then dyed to give it its final color. Nylon earrings feature surgical steel earwire.
