Set aside any crafting materials you no longer need and bring them to our Craft Supply Swap! Trade your unused supplies for something new and inspiring. Not interested in swapping? You’re still welcome to drop off materials—your donations will help us provide free crafting activities at the Craft Lab.

What to Bring:

• Crafting supplies and scrap materials

• Art supplies

• Tools and crafting materials

• Art and craft books or magazines

• Reusable materials such as cardboard, empty containers, and other decorate-able items

• Craft Hangout You're welcome to stay during the duration of the event for swapping as well as using open table space for your own crafting use. Bring something to work on and build community with other local crafters!

• Cost: Free

• Registration: Advance registration is not required, but it allows you to add the event to your calendar.

• Drop-In Format: Stop by anytime during the swap to trade materials. We expect the busiest time to be near the beginning of the event.

Getting Here & What to Expect:
All events take place inside the Craft Lab at Because Science, our retail shop located at 1759 Columbia Rd NW, Washington, DC (across from the Line Hotel in Adams Morgan).

 Look for the squiggly rainbow mural! Enter Because Science and walk to the back of the store (between the biology and anatomy sections) to find the entrance to the Craft Lab
 Metro: We're a 10-minute walk from the Woodley Park (red line) or Columbia Heights (green line) Metro stations.
 Bus: The D72, D74, C51, and C53 buses stop nearby.
 Parking: Street parking is mostly limited to 30 minutes—walking, biking, or ride share is recommended. There is a parking garage located at 2421 18th St NW, about a block away.
