What does the elbow do? The elbow joint allows your arm to bend. The upper arm bone, the humerus, joins the forearm bones, the radius and ulna, to form a flexible hinge with a twist. Without these funny bones, you wouldn’t be able to throw, write or do a bunch of other stuff with your arm. Get bent!
