National Engineers Week

Happy *NEW SCIENCE* Saturday!

Celebrate Engineers!

What do St. Patrick, Cindy Crawford, and George Washington have in common?
They're all engineers! St. Patrick taught the Irish Roman engineering concepts and is the patron saint of engineers. Cindy Crawford got her degree in chemical engineering at Northwestern University. George Washington is often considered the U.S.'s first engineer.
Last week the U.S. celebrated National Engineers week (which coincides with Washington's birthday) to highlight the societal contributions made by engineers. Why not highlight the engineers in your life with some unique STEM gifts?

Meet Amariah Barton-Harris

"To me, engineering is a team of visionaries that strive to make the world a safer and more convenient place. Engineers have to be optimistic in order to create the impossible. Engineering means I can do anything if I put my mind to it and heart into it. Our lives would not be what we know it today if optimism wasn’t in the heart of every engineer.
💫
All of my projects require interface with various other projects, endless coordination with numerous departments and tremendous detail. Having the ability to conquer all within my assigned projects has been a pleasure and I could not be more proud of my outstanding colleagues. I am proud to see the our hard work and dedication pays off".
