Rough Labradorite is a feldspar mineral best known for its iridescent, metallic sheen called labradorescence, which creates a stunning, shifting play of colors. It typically has a base color of gray, brown, or black and is a hard mineral (6 to 6.5 on the Mohs hardness scale) that is often used as a gemstone and ornamental material. Its captivating colors are caused by light interfering with thin internal layers of the stone.
