Create a one-of-a-kind dinosaur necklace to show off your prehistoric style! Learn directly from the talented jewelry-makers at Because Science as you design and assemble your own wearable dinosaur-inspired accessory using adorable glass dinosaur beads, colorful gemstone accents, and other decorative materials.

Did you know that much of the jewelry in our store is handmade by us? This workshop is a fun opportunity to learn some basic jewelry-making techniques while creating a unique keepsake you'll be excited to wear home.

Details:

Cost: $13 per necklace (includes all materials).

Registration: No advance registration is required—simply stop by during activity hours. Payment can be made at the register or in the Craft Lab using exact cash or Venmo. Because our supply of glass dinosaur beads is limited, preregistering guarantees your spot and materials. If supplies run out, priority will be given to those who registered in advance.

Getting Here & What to Expect: 
All events take place inside the Craft Lab at Because Science, our retail shop located at 1759 Columbia Rd NW, Washington, DC (across from the Line Hotel in Adams Morgan).

 Look for the squiggly rainbow mural! Enter Because Science and walk to the back of the store (between the biology and anatomy sections) to find the entrance to the Craft Lab
 Metro: We're a 10-minute walk from the Woodley Park (red line) or Columbia Heights (green line) Metro stations.
 Bus: The D72, D74, C51, and C53 buses stop nearby.
 Parking: Street parking is mostly limited to 30 minutes—walking, biking, or ride share is recommended. There is a parking garage located at 2421 18th St NW, about a block away.
