What to Expect:
🦖 DIY Jewelry Fun: Learn directly from our in-house jewelry-makers how to craft your own dinosaur necklace. All materials are provided—including the cutest glass dino beads ever.
✂️ No Experience Needed: This project is great for kids and adults who can safely use scissors. Need modifications? We’ve got options to help make it work for most ages and abilities!
👨👩👧 Open to All Ages: Anyone is welcome to join in the fun—just bring your creativity!
🗓️ Drop-In Friendly: No need to register in advance—just stop by during activity hours. You can pay at the register or in the Craft Lab (exact cash or Venmo accepted).
📅 But Register to Guarantee a Spot: We have a limited number of dinosaur beads. If we run out, we’ll have to turn away folks who haven’t preregistered—so sign up to save your supplies!
Getting Here & What to Expect:
All events take place inside the Craft Lab at Because Science, our retail shop located at 1759 Columbia Rd NW, Washington, DC (across from the Line Hotel in Adams Morgan).
Look for the squiggly rainbow mural! Enter Because Science and walk to the back of the store (between the biology and anatomy sections) to find the entrance to the Craft Lab
Metro: We're a 10-minute walk from the Woodley Park (red line) or Columbia Heights (green line) Metro stations.
Bus: The 42, 43, and 90/92 buses stop nearby.
Parking: Street parking is mostly limited to 30 minutes—walking, biking, or ride share is recommended. There is a parking garage located at 2421 18th St NW, about a block away.
