Create your very own miniature world—complete with rocks, moss, dirt, and of course… dinosaurs!
What to Expect:
🦖 Build Your Scene: We’ll provide all the materials and guide you through crafting your dino terrarium. Choose from fun containers like dodecahedrons and beakers, then get creative!
🌱 Bring It to Life: While plants aren’t included, we recommend adding an air plant or succulent later for a living touch. (Our friends at Ace carry great options!)
👨👩👧 Fun for All Ages: Best for ages 5+, but younger kids can join in with adult help.
🗓️ No Registration Needed: Drop in during activity hours—no need to sign up in advance.
💲 Easy Payment: Pay at the register or in the Craft Lab (exact cash or Venmo accepted).

Getting Here & What to Expect:
All events take place inside the Craft Lab at Because Science, our retail shop located at 1759 Columbia Rd NW, Washington, DC (across from the Line Hotel in Adams Morgan).
Look for the squiggly rainbow mural! Enter Because Science and walk to the back of the store (between the biology and anatomy sections) to find the entrance to the Craft Lab
Metro: We're a 10-minute walk from the Woodley Park (red line) or Columbia Heights (green line) Metro stations.
Bus: The 42, 43, and 90/92 buses stop nearby.
Parking: Street parking is mostly limited to 30 minutes—walking, biking, or ride share is recommended. There is a parking garage located at 2421 18th St NW, about a block away.
