Through Elements of DC, we at Because Science are celebrating the makers that make the DC area great! Elements of DC, running through the month of July, is a retail pop-up focused on the locals making cool stuff! Stop in-store to see the makers we're highlighting with kickass handcrafted items including DC-themed apparel, fused glass art, beauty, circuit board art, stationery, and more!
The Sidewalk Market is an extension of Elements of DC where you can MEET THE MAKER! Swing by to see their whole product lines and support local. This market will feature several businesses:

Who Can Join: Open to all ages! Though the nature of the items in the pop-up are more suited to adults.
No prior registration is necessary, though registering will let you add the event to your calendar automatically and help us better estimate attendance.
Getting Here & What to Expect:
Note: this particular event takes place outside Because Science on the sidewalk! Rain date is August 1.
All events take place inside the Craft Lab at Because Science, our retail shop located at 1759 Columbia Rd NW, Washington, DC (across from the Line Hotel in Adams Morgan).
Look for the squiggly rainbow mural! Enter Because Science and walk to the back of the store (between the biology and anatomy sections) to find the entrance to the Craft Lab
Metro: We're a 10-minute walk from the Woodley Park (red line) or Columbia Heights (green line) Metro stations.
Bus: The D72, D74, C51, and C53 buses stop nearby.
Parking: Street parking is mostly limited to 30 minutes—walking, biking, or ride share is recommended. There is a parking garage located at 2421 18th St NW, about a block away.
