Join us for the Pride in STEM Festival, a joyful celebration of identity, curiosity, and creativity! Enjoy hands-on science experiments, collaborative art, DIY projects, and our headlining Science Drag Storytime—where fierce meets physics. From elephant’s toothpaste to rainbow optics and Pride bracelet-making, this event invites all ages to explore the wonders of STEM in a vibrant, inclusive space. Hosted by Because Science, a woman-owned science gift shop and event space in DC that makes science playful, personal, and proud.
Join us from 12 PM to 6 PM both days, and don’t forget our storefront hours: Saturday from 11 AM to 7 PM and Sunday from 12 PM to 6 PM.
Our activities are drop-in style, so you can swing by anytime during the event. Each project typically takes about 10 to 30 minutes—perfect for a quick creative fix! While registration isn’t necessary, please note that we may need to manage the crowd, so arriving mid-event is often a smart move.
