Scoops & Suggestions: Family Ice Cream Social at The Craft Lab!

Join us for a sweet afternoon of ice cream, creativity, and community conversation!

We're inviting families to gather, enjoy a free scoop of ice cream, and help us shape the future of programming at The Craft Lab. Whether you're interested in STEM classes, art workshops, tutoring, reading clubs, homeschool resources, technology programs, or something completely new, we want to hear your ideas.

We believe the best events are built with our community, and that includes our youngest members! Kids are encouraged to share their thoughts, too. Their creativity and curiosity inspire many of the programs we create.

While parents chat and share feedback, children can enjoy a fun hands-on activity, make new friends, and, of course, enjoy some ice cream.

Who Can Attend? Families with children of all ages are welcome!

Cost: This event is free, and registration is encouraged so we can plan for enough ice cream and activity supplies.

Getting Here & What to Expect: 
All events take place inside the Craft Lab at Because Science, our retail shop located at 1759 Columbia Rd NW, Washington, DC (across from the Line Hotel in Adams Morgan).

 Look for the squiggly rainbow mural! Enter Because Science and walk to the back of the store (between the biology and anatomy sections) to find the entrance to the Craft Lab
 Metro: We're a 10-minute walk from the Woodley Park (red line) or Columbia Heights (green line) Metro stations.
 Bus: The D72, D74, C51, and C53 buses stop nearby.
 Parking: Street parking is mostly limited to 30 minutes—walking, biking, or ride share is recommended. There is a parking garage located at 2421 18th St NW, about a block away.
